Black and Ambers ready for Wanderers test

Kidwelly make the short trip to Stradey on Saturday for the first ever league meeting with Llanelli Wanderers.  The clubs have met four times previously in cup matches and the Wanderers have visited Parc Stephens twice in recent seasons in the Swalec Plate, both of which ended with a home win.

The Wanderers gained promotion to Division 1West after finishing runners-up to Gowerton in Division 2 West at the end of the 2014/15 season and are a much improved outfit in recent seasons. They are seeing the fruits of their labour at Junior and Youth level which is always good to see at community club level.

The Maroon's are coached by Barry Williams and ex Black and Amber John 'Bach' Davies and will be a tough nut to crack on their home patch, where last time out they beat Felinfoel.

The Youth are also in action away against the well-drilled Wanderers Youth team coached by another ex Black and Amber Jonathan Hope. This match will take place at People's Park with a 12.30 kick off, leaving plenty of time for supporters to make the short walk across to Stradey for the 2.30 kick off for the 1st team match.

The Youth will be looking to build on last week's excellent home win against Newcastle Emlyn which got their league campaign off to a good start.

The 2nds are in action against Pontyberem at Parc Stephens in a re-arranged league match and they will be hoping to get their campaign off to a winning start.
